Concern for the mental health of young people has exponentially increased in recent years. How do Christian schools help their students? They introduce them to biblical, research-based curriculum on mental health with Resilient Minds: Christ-Centered Mental Health Curriculum.
Approaches topics through a biblical lens, emphasizing students’ dignity and value in Jesus Christ
Promotes wellness in all areas of students’ lives—psychological, emotional, physical, and spiritual—in a positive and constructive way
Created and vetted by experts, including leaders in Christian higher education and a licensed mental health counselor
Resilient Minds is available for grades 5–6 and grades 7–8. Both age groups have a designated student book and teacher guide. The age groups cover the same topics, but lessons are differentiated to fit the needs of students based on their age level.
Each teacher guide contains clear, thorough directions for the instruction of Resilient Minds, with learning objectives, contextual information, and helpful lesson extenders. In addition, the teacher guide includes detailed notes for each slide of the accompanying PowerPoint, setting you up for a successful and constructive teaching time.
Each student book includes four pages for each lesson. Students can explore and reflect on the given topics. Each lesson roots itself in Scripture by opening with a Bible verse, then provides interactive charts and questions, insightful graphics, and tips for mental wellness.
Each lesson pairs with a digital PowerPoint presentation—about fifteen slides long—that displays lesson themes, Bible verses, goals, charts, and more in an engaging, visually-pleasing format. It’s included as a digital deliverable with the purchase of a teacher guide.
Each lesson comes with a digital, editable letter that teachers can send home to families. Letters communicate what topics are being discussed and provide additional insights and conversation starters. It’s included as a digital deliverable with the purchase of a teacher guide.
